Governor Macquarie gives three more land grants in the Central Coast area. The total population of Aboriginal people in the area is estatimated at between 180-210. There is initially little conflict because the first wave of settlement is confined to the shores of Brisbane Waters district and various inlets: Cockle Creek, Erina Creek and Narara Creek. Because of the heavily timbered area there is little place for agriculture and grazing. Timber getting, boat building and gathering shells for lime become the industry of the area.
