Aboriginal families and tribes move to where Europeans have not reached

Threlkeld observes that Aboriginal families and tribes within the Brisbane Water district move to areas where the Europeans have not yet reached to prevent white men taking Aboriginal women from their own people by “force, fraud and bribery”, which leads to “bitterness among the aboriginal men”.
