At Dooralong near Wyong, three Koori men are taken to the lock-up at Brisbane Waters. Two of the men, Jago and Nimbo, had been handcuffed together but they make a surprise attack on a constable while Jack Jones attacked from the floor and the Koori men escape.

The census in 1828 lists Lewis Ferdinand (Biddy’s Lewis’ husband) as living at Lower Portland Headland (Broken Bay). Lewis is listed as a labourer to John Grace, and Sarah (Biddy) as Lewis’s housekeeper.

Criminal Court Sydney. Five Aborigines of the Brisbane Water clan named Whippem-up, Carning-bong, Jemmie, Tom Jones and Monkey or Toby were severally convicted of felony. Elizabeth Jones better known as the Morning Star was convicted of manslaughter to be transported seven years.
